Projects
The Habbal Foundation adopts a measured and structured approach to the identification and delivery of its charitable activities.
For the financial years 2026 and 2027, the Foundation will not undertake any public fundraising activities. This period is designated for organisational development, project identification, and the implementation of appropriate due diligence procedures in relation to all prospective initiatives.
During this time, the Foundation will focus on supporting two pre-identified projects. Funding for these activities is secured through prior commitments and pledges made by members of the Foundation and their close networks.
This excludes the mini projects run on JustGiving or GoFundMe, which had already been planned while the charity application was in progress.
Current Initiatives (2026–2027)
During its initial phase, the Foundation will support two core areas of intervention:

Educational Support Grants (Global)
The provision of small grants (up to £50) to students worldwide requiring financial assistance to meet essential educational needs.
Grants may also be awarded to educational institutions or authorised representatives applying on behalf of students, specifically for essential educational materials (including books and related resources), subject to the same funding limit.

Household and Community Support Grants
The provision of small grants (up to £100) to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship, including single mother households and individuals affected by ill-health.
This includes targeted support within designated villages in:
- The district of Murree, Pakistan
- Within the wider Medina area, Saudi Arabia
These locations have been selected following over two years of direct engagement, due diligence, and the delivery of small-scale charitable initiatives by members of the Foundation. The Foundation is satisfied that appropriate oversight mechanisms are in place and that the support provided delivers clear and measurable benefit.
Independence, Non-Affiliation and Non-Discrimination
The Habbal Foundation is an independent entity. It is not affiliated with, associated with, or acting on behalf of any individual, group, or organisation bearing the name “Habbal,” and it does not solicit or accept funds on behalf of any such party.
The Foundation is committed to principles of equality and non-discrimination. All activities are undertaken without regard to race, religion, gender, ethnicity, or background, and in accordance with applicable legal and ethical standards.
Approach to Grant-Making
The Foundation provides direct financial assistance in the form of small grants to individuals and families in need.
This approach is based on the principle that flexible financial support delivers the most immediate and effective impact. By enabling recipients to determine how best to utilise the support provided, resources can be directed toward urgent and practical needs, including housing, healthcare, food, and other essential living costs.
This model:
- Ensures support is responsive to real and immediate needs
- Reduces administrative inefficiencies and resource wastage
- Supports local economic activity
- Upholds the dignity and autonomy of recipients
Administrative expenditure is minimised, with such costs funded separately by a designated donor. This ensures that 100% of funds received are applied directly to the charitable purposes specified by donors, while all operating costs are covered independently by the Foundation.
Oversight and Development
All projects supported by the Foundation are subject to appropriate levels of due diligence, monitoring, and review.
The initial operational period (2026–2027) will be used to further refine the Foundation’s processes, strengthen oversight frameworks, and ensure that future expansion is undertaken in a responsible and sustainable manner.
