Trustees
The Habbal Foundation is governed by its trustees, who are responsible for the overall management, strategic direction, and oversight of the organisation:

These terms reflect the Foundation’s formation timeline, with the application process commencing in July 2025 and charitable status formally granted by the Charity Commission in January 2026.
Organisational Development
The Foundation’s initial focus is the establishment of a robust oversight framework and operational programme.
This includes the implementation of enhanced diligence measures across all activities to ensure accountability, transparency, and effective governance. As part of this development phase, the Foundation intends to make initial appointments in key functions, including internal audit, risk, and compliance.
This structured approach is designed to support sustainable growth in future years. As previously stated, during the financial years 2026 and 2027, the Foundation will not undertake any public fundraising activities, instead focusing on building and refining its operational model. This model is also subject to internal review to ensure appropriate standards are maintained.
Important Information
For the financial years 2026 and 2027, the Foundation will not be undertaking any public fundraising activities. The projects currently being supported are outlined on the Projects page, and funding for these initiatives has been secured through existing commitments within the Foundation’s volunteer and supporter network.
This excludes the mini projects run on JustGiving or GoFundMe, which had already been planned while the charity application was in progress.
Use of Funds
The Foundation operates a strict funding model:
All operational, administrative, and facilitation costs of the Foundation are funded separately by a designated sponsor. This ensures that every donation received is distributed in full to eligible grant applicants.
Administrative Information
The Habbal Foundation is a small, volunteer-led organisation.
During its initial registration phase, administrative operations were conducted from a secure private address provided by a volunteer, where all documentation and materials were appropriately maintained.
As the Foundation develops, it will review and update its registered address and contact details as appropriate. This may include the use of serviced office facilities, allowing the Foundation to maintain a professional operational presence while ensuring that costs remain controlled and proportionate.
The Foundation operates with a flexible and largely remote working model, reflecting the nature of its volunteer base and enabling efficient participation without incurring unnecessary overheads.
Given the Foundation’s structure, individuals engaging with the organisation will typically already be in contact with a trustee or member of the volunteer network, and direct communication can be facilitated accordingly.
