Habbal Foundation

HOME > ABOUT

The Habbal Foundation is a registered charitable organisation, established in January 2026 (Charity Number: 1216467).

The Foundation was formed by a group of individuals with longstanding experience in charitable activities, including both independent initiatives and support of established organisations. Following several years of engagement within the charitable sector, the founding members formalised their efforts through the creation of The Habbal Foundation, with the objective of delivering structured, accountable, and sustainable charitable impact.

The organisation operates on a small-scale basis and is administered entirely by volunteers.

Charitable Objects

The objects of the Foundation are carried out for the public benefit in such parts of the United Kingdom and the wider world as the trustees may determine from time to time.

These are:

  • The relief of those in need, by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship, or other disadvantage.
  • The promotion of social inclusion for the public benefit, particularly among refugees and asylum seekers who are socially excluded due to their social and economic circumstances. This includes relieving the needs of such individuals and supporting their integration into society, in particular through:
    • The provision of practical integration support, including translation and signposting services, to assist individuals in accessing public services and understanding local systems, rights, and responsibilities;
    • The provision of social and recreational facilities and community-based activities designed to encourage inclusion and participation.

Operational Approach

The Habbal Foundation adopts a measured and controlled approach to its operations.

For the financial years 2026 and 2027, the Foundation will not undertake any public fundraising activities. This period is designated for organisational development, project identification, and the implementation of appropriate due diligence procedures in relation to all prospective initiatives.

During this time, the Foundation will continue to support a number of smaller, pre-identified charitable projects. Funding for these activities is secured through prior commitments and pledges made by members of the Foundation and their close networks.

Administrative expenditure is minimised, with such costs funded separately by a designated donor. This ensures that 100% of funds received are applied directly to the charitable purposes specified by donors, while all operating costs are covered independently by the Foundation.
